Loose Curls/ Waves on straight hair?

Whenever I try curling or making waves in my straight long hair it falls flat in about 5 minutes. Any product and/or technique suggestions?

Before curling a piece of hair, Spray it lightly with hair spray.

When done curling Finish with one more touch of hair spray

OK, this works for me.

What you will need:

Bendy rollers http://www.boots.com/images/product/1030...

here's a pic, they are cheap

Hairspray preferably voluming etc. About 10 hair clips

What to do step by step

1.At night wash your hair, put your head upside down and use a hairdryer to give it more volume and dry it til it is a bit damp or wait until it is not wet just damp.

2.If you have layers then clip up the top layers or tie them up. Place a roller at the bottom of your hair (A section about 2cm wide) and roll it upwards towards the roots.

3.Bend the roller and attach it to the rest of your hair using a clip to be extra sure

4.Repeat with the rest of your hair

5.If you have a hair net. Yes I know it look silly Lil. Put it over all of your rollers.

6.Next morning spray hairspray all over your hair.

7.Take out all the rollers gently.

8.If you want add mroe curls with a curling tong and then later a bit more hairspray.

Good luck. I hope my advice helped :). If you have longer hair then it will be harder for curls to stay in but not impossible. If you have any mroe problems then talk to your hairdresser.
