So, I would say the favourite part about myself is my hair. I straighten it and when I do in the morning it is lovely and staright and smooth
HOWEVER....
By the time I get to scall it is all frizzy, flicky out, basically - NOT VERY NICE!!
It gets me down, and makes me feel awful as it DID look so nice!
So what can I do to keep it straight throughout the day? Home remedies are prefered (so I can do it tomorrow) however I will go and buy some products over the weekend.

Try using a chemical straightener. You can buy it at Wal-Mart. It's like a perm but not to make your hair curly. Well i hope that helps!
Straight Hair! Desperate!?
I don't know any home remedies, but there are a ton of hair gels out there for people who straighten. As someone said before, John Frieda frizz-ease products are awesome!!!! Also, I have a great hairdresser in town that sells products, if you get your hair cut somewhere, check out their products(if they have any) . I hope you find what you need! :)
Straight Hair! Desperate!?
it would probably work best if you took a shower in the morning, washed your hair with shampoo and conditioner, dry it, and then try straightening it. it will hold longer.

Straight Hair! Desperate!?
my hair is just the same-i have stopped fighting to get it poker straight and have worked with the bounce my hair has got-the toussled look is in.everyone wants curls-big hair this season
Straight Hair! Desperate!?
use spray when you straighten with iron or you can use chemical relaxer (perm)to make it straight longer
Straight Hair! Desperate!?
Get some hair serum on the ends to weight it down a bit - not too much.
Try the John Frieda Smoothing Balm. Good!
Keep out of humid atmospheres and wet conditions (obviously)
Invest in a portable straightener that will fit into your bag - then you can straighten the flicky bits that drive you mad!
Straight Hair! Desperate!?
Ummm, if you have any hairspray lying around the house try that and try wearing a headband or putting your hair in a cute updo.
Straight Hair! Desperate!?
WELL I THINK U MIGHT JUST NEED TO GET A STAIGHT PERM IF IT KEEPS ON DOING THAT BUT IF NOT U SHOULD GO TO A PROFESSIONAL AND TELL THEN WHAT HAS BEEN HAPPENING TO YOUR HAIR SO MAYBE THEY CAN GIVE U A STRAIGHTENER THAT LAST ALL DAY .ALSO TRY WRAPING IT UP AFTER U STRAIGHTEN IT!
Straight Hair! Desperate!?

if you live where there's high humidity, then you should wear a hood to protect your hair from the moisture outside. If it's frizzing because you've flat ironed it too much and damaged it, then you need to invest in a haircut and some frizz serum (its like oil--and baby oil will do in a pinch just don't use too much!) Apply serum BEFORE you flat iron to protect your hair from the heat!
Straight Hair! Desperate!?
sealed ends sold in most hairdressers its fabulous! about 8pounds for a tube but very worth it. especially as you use straighteners which damage the ends of your hair. making it frizzy and unmanagable. always remember to use a good heat protection spray when straightening too. good luck xx
Straight Hair! Desperate!?
My sister had the same issue. I don't strighten my hair, but I like to watch her and learn about this stuff. So, What I learned is... Go to a beauty store like ULTA and talk to the hair dressers there. I can't name a product for you because I don't know your hair type (thickness..dry-oil ect) BUT however I can saw there is products that you put in before/after and during the process of strighing your hair. Some will hold it others will keep it smooth.
I think your problem is that it's getting dryed out. I can't say this 100% for sure but what you describe is making me think highly of it.
Good Luck and I Hope I Helped!
If you can't get to a local beauty store soon... you can always aply hairspray when its wet. mousse works just as well!

There are some good hair products that can banish frizz if you put them on before styling such as: Frizz Ease Hair Serum (Its in a purple bottle.) But really the best way is to use a ceramic styling iron; a real one, not ceramic coated, it doesnt work as well. Unfortunately they are around $100, but they really work, you dont have to use priducts and you will never see frizz again. Your hair stays exactly they way you style it all day!

don't wash your hair as much, 2 or 3 times a week if its thick and frizzy. also its best to leave it to air drying it rather than blow drying it.
Tonight wash your hair but don't use shampoo, just use conditioner and leave it on 10 minutes. then go to bed with wet hair tied up. ok so your hair will probably look a bit crazy but went you straighten it, it should be straighter for longer. also spray hairspray to hold as well.
Straight Hair! Desperate!?
you need to get some chi oil hair lotion. it keeps your hair from sticking up or getting frizzy. you can get it at your local hair salon or at a mall . hope that helps
Straight Hair! Desperate!?
i have natural stick straight hair, but sometimes it gets a little frizzy. so this is what i have found out in the past years.
We all know by now that using a conditioner is necessary to control frizzy hair. The trick is to leave the conditioner on for a few minutes before rinsing it out. If you have extra time, try wrapping your hair in a towel with the conditioner on and let your hair "soak" for about 10-15 minutes. Then rinse it out.
after you get out of the shower, wrap your hair in a towel for several minutes to get out the access water instead of rubbing the towel over your head. Both towel rubbing and brushes lead to hair breakage and make it much more vulnerable to frizzy hair.
Try just putting on some mousse and comb it in. Let air dry and don't run your fingers or a comb through it until it's completely dry. Using a blow dryer in hot weather will probably make the problem worse. If you want your hair straight and that's the only way you can get it that way, then by all means, use the dryer. Just use the cool setting and don't use it every day.
i pretty much just copy ed and pasted every Thain so ill give u the web site.

Use MATRIX BIOLAGE, SMOOTHTHERAPIE . It's a smoothing Gel. It will keep the frizz from ruining your straight hair. Work a small amount into palms and apply evenly through damp hair, Blow dry/iron, style as desired. It's the best product EVER!
Much Love,

Easy!!
When you straighten, make sure you do it PROPERLY!!
You have to be thorough.
First though, you do need a good quality pair of irons- GHDs are without a doubt the best, also make sure you use a heat protective spray/cream/serum, as straightening your hair is very damaging in the long run, make sure you have regular trims.
At night, section all your hair, do a very small part at a time, but make sure you do it all, and its perfect.
Go over it again in the morning, and use a little hair spray as you do it.
Finish by spraying hairspray into your brush, then brushing your hair with it- it gets rid of those fly-aways!!
Good Luck!
Straight Hair! Desperate!?
I have a similar problem, when it used to rain all of my hard work straightening my hair was spoiled and it curled at the ends.
However my new route is as follows:
Wash my hair with ghd elevation shampoo for normal-fine hair %26amp; ghd elevation conditioner for normal-fine hair then blow dry using a paddle brush to get it as straight as possible. Using my GHD hair straighteners I then straighten my hair section by section. Finally I spray a light mist of hair spray over my entire head and tada!
costs:
ghd elevation shampoo for normal-fine hair 250ml = 鎷?.95
ghd elevation conditioner for normal-fine hair 250ml = 鎷?.95
ghd salon styler = 鎷?9.95
ghd fixation spray, firm hold = 鎷?2.95
