My girlfriend has very fine straight hair. what kind of hair product would allow it to go & main

she has very fine hair that doesn't get frizzy or anything, but is always straight. she'd like it to get wavy and maintain that wavy look for hours. any products out there to do this? looking to stay away from a perm! thanks in advance.

if she wants to stay away from a perm she is going to have to do it the hard way....curling iron. its works nicely. also, i hear of a shampoo that curls your hair when its used. not sure how well it works though. good luck to her!

unless she has a natural wave you can't create one hun. I don't think a perm is a bad idea, however she probably had a bad tight curly perm and it was left for 5 minutes too long and so her hair was frizzed out, right? Tell her to call local saloons and ask for a perm specialist, ask if anyone in your area salon(s) have ever done what is called a "rag perm". Its a perm that is done in a very strange way. Its not done on traditional rods. Instead pieces of white cotton tee shirt material are cut into strips, the hair is put into small sections and pin curled and then you tie each piece with a piece of the cotton strip. Its done all over the head. Then you want a light perm for fine AND color treated hair, its gentler than any other. And she could go maybe 15 minutes tops before needing to rinse the solution. get a light perm

use some kind of volumizer for it, it will make it look fuller and thicker, and add some "roo to your doo"
